It’s been a mighty busy week, adopting all the recommendations (concluding observations) for the State parties we have had examinations with (constructive dialogues). You’ll be able to find them here, after they are proofed, edited and approved, so please be patient when using your refresh button!
The most historic of which was the European Union, the first time the CRPD committee had with a regional integration organisation.
We also had fruitful discussions on our forthcoming general comment on article 24 (education) as well as briefings by University College London on awareness raising and intellectual disabilities, and social protection floors for persons with disabilities by IDA and the Global Coalition for Social Protection Floors.
We also adopted Guidelines on article 14 and issued a Statement on disability inclusion for the World Humanitarian Summit.
We rounded off the week with the official closure of the 14th session as well as making some videos to celebrate the 10th anniversary (2016) of the coming into force of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and of course a group photo!
