The Asia and Americas Regional Office has launched the Impact Fund, a fund that will support projects with the potential to sustainably scale and improve the lives of persons with disabilities in their communities.

While the Asia and Americas region may be geographically diverse, many people with disabilities still suffer barriers, stigma, discrimination, and exclusion. One third of children with disabilities do not receive any early intervention services and women with disabilities have two to three times lower access to health services than women without disabilities.

Given the fund’s aim of fostering CBM’s vision of an inclusive world in which all persons with disabilities enjoy their human rights and achieve their full potential, the primary target of this open call is aimed at projects that promote at least one of the following priority areas:

Inclusive communities, functioning services, and support systems for

  • Inclusive Eye Health
  • Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD)
  • Inclusive Livelihood
  • Inclusive Education
  • Ear and Hearing Care
  • Physical Rehabilitation
  • Community resilience and disaster preparedness
